Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Ability to stand up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical tasks involving lifting and transferring items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills and ability to participate in a team environment
- Capable of answering phones and taking special orders
- Able to perform general housekeeping duties in the department
- Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, products, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
