Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
- be dependable and reliable with flexible scheduling availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior and positive attitude
- have good communication skills and ability to take direction
- be able to operate bakery equipment
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and perform physical transfers of trays and items weighing up to 40 lbs safely
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including night, weekends, and holidays
- have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping in the department
