Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
- commit to the golden rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- achieve the highest associate morale by working in a respectful, supportive and totally team oriented style
- assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise, check and verify receiving to ensure items listed on vendor invoices are delivered, check products for quality, count and condition
- keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated in accordance with company policy and product code dates using first in, first out
- assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling damaged goods
- take stock to storage or shelf areas
- prepare all baking mixtures in accordance with established company procedures and recipes
- pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- load and unload oven and bake all varieties of products at proper temperatures and duration
- operate mixer and write on cakes, prepare product to meet customer specifications
- adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations including safety, health and packaging
- practice proper sanitation and the cleaner's creed
- maintain neat, well-groomed appearance and wear approved hat or hair net
- keep display cases, cooler and freezer organized and clean, including cleaning walls, fans, drains, equipment, utensils and work tables
- wipe countertops and front display cases
- exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipment
