Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous baking or pastry experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

- Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations

- Basic baking skills and familiarity with commercial bakery equipment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs to ensure proper assortment and production level
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by designated times
- Work closely with Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
