Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly demeanor
Have good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
Operate bakery tools and equipment safely
Be able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours and work 8-hour shifts
Ability to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs safely
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction
Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Ability to work in a team environment and interact with customers
Knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
Commitment to food safety and health regulations

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
