Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
  • Operate bakery tools and equipment safely
  • Be able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours and work 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs safely
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with customers
  • Knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
  • Commitment to food safety and health regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
