Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery area
- Operate bakery tools and equipment safely
- Be able to stand continuously for up to 3 hours and work 8-hour shifts
- Ability to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs safely
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with customers
- Knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Commitment to food safety and health regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
