Job Requirements
- minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable equivalent
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- strong physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- must adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines
- capable of answering phones and taking special orders
- willingness to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly with positive attitude and customer interaction skills
- good communication skills with ability to take direction and work in a team
- ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- capable of standing up to 8 hours per shift and lifting/moving bakery trays and items up to 40 lbs
- adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- ability to maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties in the bakery department
