Job Requirements
- Ability to represent and support Big Y’s culture of caring while living our Mission & Vision
- Supports Big Y’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives
- Must be proficient in baking and ordering as assigned for the entire sales areas of the bakery department
- Must project a clean and professional appearance
- Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards
- Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in baking and ordering for the bakery sales areas
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible with scheduling
- Familiarity with bakery production processes
Job Duties
- Prepare the freshest quality baked goods daily
- Maintain bakery department conditions including proper ordering and inventory
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Operate within company policies, procedures, and standards
- Support cross-training and flexibility in work schedule
