Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in a bakery or food production preferred
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
  • Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
  • Experience in baking and pastry production

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
  • maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
  • work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences
  • perform other duties as assigned
