Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Prior experience in a bakery or food production preferred
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Commitment to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
Experience in baking and pastry production

Job Duties

Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences
perform other duties as assigned
