Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in a bakery or food production preferred
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
- Experience in baking and pastry production
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
- maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
- work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice for absences
- perform other duties as assigned
