Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
Be dependable and reliable
Be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Possess good communication skills
Have the ability to stand for prolonged periods
Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Adhere to safety and health regulations
Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Adhere to all safety, health, and food handlers regulations
Be able to answer phones and take special orders

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery department
