Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly attitude

  • Ability to take direction and work in a team
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, and pallet jacks
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and transfer items up to 40 lbs
  • Comply with all safety, health, and Food Handlers regulations

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to answer phones and handle special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas
  • Proficient in operating knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and physically transfer items as required
  • Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintenance of Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Answer phones and take special orders
