Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bakery or food production experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and production schedules
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with bakery equipment safely
  • Availability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to meet lifting and stamina requirements
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards at all times

  • Experience in baking or pastry preparation preferred
  • Knowledge of bakery production and retail food business a plus
  • Customer service skills with ability to handle guest interactions tactfully and effectively

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and various shifts

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production levels
  • Maintain food safety logs and meet quality standards by specified times
  • Work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • Attend work regularly and timely, providing adequate notice for absences
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
