Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
- commit to the golden rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- achieve the highest associate morale by working respectfully, supportively, and as a team
- assist in receiving and unloading merchandise, verifying vendor invoices, and checking product quality and condition
- rotate all bakery ingredients or merchandise according to company policy and product code dates using first in, first out method
- assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and control damaged goods level
- take stock to storage or shelf areas
- prepare baking mixtures according to established procedures and recipes
- pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- load and unload over, knowing proper baking temperatures and durations
- operate mixer and write on cakes, prepare product to meet customer specifications
- adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations including safety, health, and packaging requirements
- practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- follow company dress code with neat, well-groomed personal appearance and wear approved hat or hair net
- keep display cases, cooler, and freezer organized and clean including cleaning walls, fans, drains, equipment, utensils, work tables, countertops, and front display cases
- exercise proper safety practices when lifting, moving product or using equipment
