Job Requirements
- Previous food service, retail, or grocery experience required
- Knowledge and or experience working with bread and or pastry products required
- Basic math and computation skills
- Skills to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written instructions
- Ability to speak, read and understand English
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and use hands and arms frequently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate bakery and kitchen equipment
- Adherence to food safety policies
- Ability to work in a grocery store environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous food service, retail, or grocery experience
- Previous retail bakery experience preferred
- Knowledge or experience with bread and pastry products
- Basic ability to read and interpret documents
- Basic math and computation skills
- Skills to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Job Duties
- Engages the customer in a friendly manner and shares product information
- Assists in locating product throughout the store
- Prepares bakery and pastry products according to company standards
- Scales, mixes, shapes, and bakes bread and pastries
- Orders bakery products and maintains inventory levels
- Maintains bakery cleanliness and merchandising standards
- Trains department clerks and participates in store tastings
