Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a respectful, supportive and totally team oriented style
- Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise and verify items on vendor invoices
- Check products for quality, count, and condition
- Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated using first in, first out methods
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods
- Take stock to storage or shelf areas
- Prepare all baking mixtures in accordance with company procedures and recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Load and unload oven and know the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of products
- Operate mixer and write on cakes or prepare product to meet customer specifications
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow sanitation procedures
- Maintain a neat appearance and observe company dress code including wearing approved hat or hair net
- Keep display cases, cooler, freezer, equipment, utensils, and work tables organized and clean
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving products or using equipment
