Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in baking or pastry production
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- General knife handling, food safety and sanitation knowledge
- comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment
- high volume restaurant or bakery experience preferred
- able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve
- able to follow recipes without direct supervision
- strong time management skills and able to execute dishes consistently and effectively
- full availability including weekends
Job Duties
- Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
- set up station according to established expectations
- execute production from start to finish including all in-house baked items and pastry production
- work collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff
- maintain cleanliness of all BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas
- follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
- conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
