Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • able to work overnight shifts
  • able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • capable of stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and performing repetitive motions
  • vision corrected or uncorrected from 20 inches to less than 20 feet
  • able to handle temperature extremes and exposure to flour and noise
  • able to comply with company hygiene and dress policies
  • able to complete pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months to one year of related bakery or food service experience
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to operate bakery equipment
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • basic arithmetic skills
  • problem-solving abilities
  • ability to work independently and in a team

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
  • assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
  • answers telephone and takes product orders
  • checks daily orders and creates production schedules
  • prepares, bakes and fries department products
  • reviews product freshness and pulls stale items
  • invoices and puts away product
  • anticipates product needs for current and future days
  • inspects incoming product quality and quantity
  • monitors bakery equipment and maintenance needs
  • checks signage for correct labels
  • reviews department for safety issues
  • operates as lead with bakery clerks
  • prioritizes orders per customer and manager requests
  • proofs necessary items
  • pulls product from freezer or cooler
  • maintains sanitation and cleanliness
  • adheres to hygiene and dress guidelines
  • follows company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work scheduled and on time
