Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Show outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and work as part of a team
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the bakery including cleaning and sanitizing
  • Operate bakery equipment like knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Stand up to 3 hours continuously and handle physical transfer of trays and items up to specified weights
  • Adhere to safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations
  • Maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Display outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and handling physical demands of the role
  • Maintain and achieve necessary food handling permits

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide high level customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the bakery area and equipment
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products while checking for spoilage
  • Receive, inspect, and log bakery shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Answer phones and take special bakery orders
  • Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
