Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior
- demonstrate good communication skills
- ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- operate bakery equipment and tools
- stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hour shifts
- safely transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- knowledge of scales and weight measures
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to transfer trays and items safely
- adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- valid Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- stock, fill, face, ensure pricing accuracy and examine product rotation
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
