Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable
ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
possess outgoing and friendly behavior
demonstrate good communication skills
ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
be able to answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
operate bakery equipment and tools
stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hour shifts
safely transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
good communication skills and ability to work in a team
ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
knowledge of scales and weight measures
ability to stand for extended periods
ability to transfer trays and items safely
adherence to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
stock, fill, face, ensure pricing accuracy and examine product rotation
receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
