Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination
- Reads and comprehends simple instructions and correspondence
- Writes simple correspondence
- Communicates effectively and pleasantly
- Performs basic mathematical skills with money and measurements
- Applies common sense to instructions and problem solving
- Meets state requirements for bakery equipment operation
- Holds valid state food handlers permit
- Holds valid driver’s license or state ID
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand for prolonged periods
- Willing to follow safety protocols
- Able to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, climbing
- Must report accidents within 24 hours
Job Qualifications

- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence
- Effective and pleasant communication with guests and coworkers
- Mathematical skills in handling money, weight, and volume measurements
- Common sense and problem-solving skills
- Meets state minimum requirements for operating bakery equipment
- Valid state food handlers permit
- Valid driver's license or state identification
- Completed company-provided training in bakery skills, safety, and guest service
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and ready to provide excellent service
- Promoting sales by providing high-quality products consistent with company formulas
- Providing exceptional guest service using trained skills
- Finishing par bake products and labeling, rotating, and writing on cakes
- Maintaining proficiency in production of a variety of bakery items according to company standards
- Operating bakery equipment safely and correctly
- Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure correct quantity and quality
- Communicating and fulfilling guests' special order requests accurately and timely
- Mentoring new associates and supporting a positive learning environment
- Ensuring all work complies with safety, food handling, and workplace regulations
- Participating in department accident reduction and safety maintenance tasks
