Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in baking or food service is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and maintain cleanliness and organization
- Must comply with health and safety guidelines
- Reliable and punctual attendance

- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful environment
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and policies including proper training on bakery equipment
- Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
- Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by specific times daily
- Work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
