Job Requirements
- stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7 inches to 64 inches for up to 10 hours
- transfer items up to 40 lbs over distances up to 36 feet without mechanical assistance
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- take direction and participate in team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
- possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have a food handler's permit or ability to acquire one
Job Duties
- assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while discarding outdated products
- receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitization tasks in the bakery department
