Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in baking and pastry production
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical stamina for standing and working for extended periods
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • General knife handling, food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment
  • High volume restaurant or bakery experience preferred
  • Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve
  • Able to follow recipes without direct supervision
  • Strong time management skills and able to execute dishes consistently and effectively
  • Full availability including weekends

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
  • Set up station according to established expectations
  • Execute production from start to finish including all in-house baked items and pastry production
  • Work collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of all BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • Follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
  • Conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
