Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least 6 months of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified
ServSafe food handler's certificate or equivalent
Must provide your own transportation
Must be able to lift and carry heavy bags of flour and other ingredients which may weigh up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for long periods while preparing and/or monitoring baking
Ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping and working with heated equipment, steam and other risk conditions
Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and extreme heat
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
ServSafe food handler's certificate or equivalent
Associate degree in baking and/or pastry arts preferred
Post-secondary training at a culinary institution preferred
Passionate about baking
Detail oriented, efficient, organized and works with a sense of urgency
Math skills involving fractions, decimals and knowledge of metric system
Problem solver and self-starter

Job Duties

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including utensils and equipment
Cross train as required by your manager
Must be able to work early morning shifts, weekends and holidays
Monitor and maintain established quality and brand standards
Prepare and bake a variety of products according to established formulas and health and safety regulations
Receive and stock deliveries and store them according to FIFO
Mentor intern(s) and incorporate them into production when appropriate
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Duties, and/or responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice
