Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
ability to read and comprehend instructions
effective communication skills with guests and coworkers
basic math skills with money, weight, and volume
ability to follow oral and written instructions
meet state requirements for working with bakery equipment
valid State Food Handlers Permit
valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card
willingness to complete provided training
physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
ability to stand for prolonged periods
ability to work safely with chemicals and machinery
excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Reads and comprehends simple instructions, writes simple correspondence, communicates effectively with guests, vendors and associates
Performs mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement and volume
Applies common sense to carry out written or oral instructions and manages problems involving several concrete variables
Meets state minimum requirements to work with bakery equipment and tools
Holds valid State Food Handlers Permit and valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card
Completed Yoke's provided training such as Active Shooter, Bakery Skills Training levels One, Two, and Three, Food Handler's Safety Training, HIPAA Training, Late Night Retail Safety Training, Yoke's Safety Orientation Training, and Guest Service Training
Optional Hepatitis A vaccination provided by Yoke's Pharmacy

Job Duties

Reporting for assigned shifts on time and prepared to provide excellent service
Promoting sales by providing high quality, consistent products according to company formulas
Providing exceptional guest service using training skills
Finishing par bake products, labeling, rotating, and writing on cakes and orders
Maintaining proficiency in producing a variety of bakery products including raised donuts, cakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, pies, seasonal items, and artisan breads
Operating bakery equipment safely including com-line, scales, fryer, slicer, ovens, and proof box
Glazing, frosting, decorating doughnuts and monitoring baking consistency
Ensuring production accuracy by managing product stock, shrink analysis and verifying deliveries
Communicating and completing special orders accurately and timely
Mentoring new associates and promoting a positive learning environment
Complying with workplace safety, food handling safety, and guest service standards
Participating in accident reduction plans including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining safety features of machinery and workspaces
Engaging actively in company values and representing Yoke's positively in the community
