Job Requirements

be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
be able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours
be able to transfer items up to 40 lbs from 5" to 36" for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
maintain a Food Handlers permit
perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing tables, floors, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer
answer phones and take special orders
work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
operate bakery equipment safely and accurately

Job Qualifications

be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent
possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
have good communication skills and ability to participate in a team environment
be able to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations

Job Duties

assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
answer phones and take special orders
perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
