Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior
  • have good communication skills
  • able to take direction and work in a team environment
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
  • operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • stand for up to 3 hours continuously for 8 hour shifts
  • transfer items weighing up to 40 lbs for up to 10 hours
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • obtain and maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in team environment
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • be able to operate and use bakery equipment safely
  • have Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain one

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
