Job Requirements
- must be 18 years or older
- high school diploma or equivalent
- six months to one year of bakery or related food service experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- ability to perform physical activities including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- availability for overnight shifts
- ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
- punctuality and reliability

- ability to solve practical problems
- arithmetic skills including fractions and percentages

- knowledge of bakery equipment and sanitation

Job Duties
- provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
- answers telephone promptly and takes orders
- checks orders and sets up baking schedule
- prepares and bakes all bakery products
- reviews product freshness and pulls stale items
- invoices and stores product
- anticipates product needs
- inspects incoming product quality and quantity
- understands bakery equipment maintenance
- checks signage and labels
- reviews department safety
- operates as lead with bakery clerks
- prioritizes and proofs orders
- practices proper sanitation and cleanliness
- maintains personal hygiene and adheres to company policies
- reports to work on time
