Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have outgoing and friendly behavior
- be able to communicate effectively
- be able to take special orders by phone
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- be physically able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- be able to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety and health regulations
- maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have knowledge of scales and weight measures to weigh and label products accurately
- be able to stand for extended periods and safely transfer items within specified weight limits
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating bakery products and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- interact with customers and take special orders via phone
- perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment
