Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit dependable and reliable behavior
- Demonstrate positive attitude and friendly customer interaction skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks
- Operate bakery equipment including knives and scales
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and handle lifting and transferring of trays and items up to 40 lbs
- Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and handle special orders
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely and effectively
- Be able to stand for extended periods and transfer trays and items as required
- Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Answer phones and take special orders
