Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Dependable and reliable
Ability to communicate effectively and participate in a team environment
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to stand for extended periods and transfer trays and items up to specified weights and distances without mechanical assistance
Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Possess good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and customer interaction skills
Able to answer phones and take special orders
Knowledge of operating bakery tools such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service while ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products while rotating and discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log bakery products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special bakery orders
Perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
