Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of professional experience in pastry and baking
- Advanced culinary and pastry knowledge
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, quality control, and food safety
- Ability to operate and maintain bakery equipment
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must obtain required food handling and sanitation certifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, culinary school, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of professional pastry and baking experience
- Advanced culinary and pastry knowledge
- Strong baking and pastry techniques with attention to taste, quality, and presentation
- Proficient in knife skills and multitasking
- Ability to manage production independently and as part of a team
- Skilled in operating and maintaining standard bakery and kitchen equipment
- Ability to maintain brand standards and food cost control
Job Duties
- Prepare bread, pastries, and specialty baked goods following recipes, portion, and presentation standards
- Maintain mise en place and set up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
- Monitor inventory, control waste, and assist with ordering supplies
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers
- Label, date, and store food items properly
- Contribute to menu development and create baked goods for special events and dietary needs
- Train, mentor, and support junior pastry staff
- Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors in compliance with company standards
