Job Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Washington State Health Card (Food Worker Card)
- Ability to receive detailed oral and written communication
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to perform repetitive movement
- Ability to occasionally bend and crouch
- Willingness to work a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, holidays
- Exposure to tobacco smoke on a regular basis
Job Qualifications
- Exceptional guest service skills
- At least 2 years experience in baking large bulk batches
- Experience in high volume scratch baking
- Skilled in bread doughs, cake, wedding cake and pastry decorating
- Highly detail oriented
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multitasking environment
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships
- Ability to follow management directions
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy items
- Basic math skills
Job Duties
- Assist Pastry Chef in creating quality baked goods and mentoring the assistant baker
- Assist in forecasting usage based on set pars using a product mix
- Assist in maintaining inventory of bakery supplies
- Understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstation including equipment and surfaces
- Report equipment and food quality problems to supervisor
- Inform supervisor of product shortages immediately
- Use standard recipe cards and add new recipes as needed
- Use kitchen equipment properly and assist in training assistant bakers
- Communicate food usage and quality control with assistant baker and Pastry Chef
- Follow proper HACCP guidelines
- Attend all mandatory department and casino meetings
- Follow all casino policies and regulations
- Ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal and NIGC regulations
- Protect company assets
- Work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays
- Perform other assigned duties as required
