Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Be dependable and reliable
Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Be capable of standing for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
Be able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically and items up to 40 lbs vertically or horizontally
Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Be able to operate bakery equipment and tools safely

Job Qualifications

Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations

Job Duties

Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service
Ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Operate bakery equipment and tools safely and effectively
