Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be capable of standing for up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
  • Be able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically and items up to 40 lbs vertically or horizontally
  • Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Be able to operate bakery equipment and tools safely

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations

Job Duties

  • Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment and tools safely and effectively
