Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Servesafe food handler's certificate or equivalent
  • Must provide your own transportation
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy bags of flour and other ingredients up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods while preparing products and/or monitoring baking
  • Must be able to work early morning shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in conditions involving repetitive motions, exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, fumes, chemicals, and risk of electrical shock

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Servesafe food handler's certificate or equivalent
  • Associate degree in baking and/or pastry arts preferred
  • Post-secondary training at a culinary institution preferred
  • Passionate about baking
  • Detail oriented, efficient, organized and works with a sense of urgency
  • Math skills involving fractions, decimals and knowledge of metric system

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including utensils and equipment
  • Cross train as required by your manager
  • Must be able to work early morning shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Monitor and maintain established quality and brand standards
  • Prepare and bake a variety of products according to established formulas and health and safety regulations
  • Receive and stock deliveries and store them according to FIFO
  • Mentor intern(s) and incorporate them into production when appropriate
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
