Job Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- dependable and reliable
- outgoing and friendly demeanor
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team
- ability to take direction
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, and pallet jacks
- ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and transfer trays and items of specified weights
- adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards including Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications

- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- demonstrate dependable and reliable work habits
- have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a team

- have the ability to answer phones and take special orders
- be capable of operating knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- able to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks as required
- adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
