Job Requirements
- Prior baking experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and production specifications
- Availability to work Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Good physical stamina for baking duties
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Prior baking experience
- Ability to follow recipes and production standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently during peak times
- Basic math skills for portion control and record keeping
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per provided production and catering sheets
- Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
- Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- Use proper equipment and maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- Handle food items safely adhering to food safety and OSHA standards
- Complete production records including waste tracking and product shortages
- Inform supervisor when supplies are low
- Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
- Relay customer concerns to supervisors
- Maintain calm, accurate and efficient work pace during peak production and service
- Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
- Complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner according to department standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
