Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or Culinary Arts degree preferred or a range of three to four years of related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of applicable food preparation methods and measures for assigned function
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good oral communication skills and ability to understand and follow direction
  • Ability to assist with team through production lists and duties when Pastry Chef is not present
  • Ability to create different display cakes and showpieces
  • Assists Pastry Chef on executing new menu ideas

Job Duties

  • Needs little to no supervision
  • Ability to follow all production lists and ensure orders are put away to HWC standards when the Pastry Chef is not present
  • Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards
  • Cross-trained in every outlet in the bakery with phenomenal consistency
  • Excels in time management
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries, rolls and/or other baked goods
  • Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials
