Job Requirements
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- ability to work in cooler temperatures including freezers
- completion of food handling permit within 14 days
- ability to operate and maintain bakery equipment safely
- good communication skills
- commitment to follow health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- possession of a food handling permit within first 14 days of employment
- completion of ongoing training and development programs
- strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- basic math and reading skills
- knowledge of health regulations and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- produce bakery items efficiently and according to quality standards
- stock and merchandise bakery cases to ensure freshness and attractiveness
- rotate fresh products to prevent sale of stale items
- unload and stock bakery ingredients neatly and safely
- maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery work area
- operate and clean bakery equipment competently
- provide friendly and courteous service to customers
