Job Duties

Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
Commit to the "Golden Rule" and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
Achieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a style that is respectful, supportive and totally team oriented (RSTO)
Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise, check and verify receiving to ensure all items on vendor invoices are delivered, check products for quality, count, and condition
Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated according to company policy and product code dates, always using oldest products first (first in, first out)
Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods
Prepare all baking mixtures in accordance with established company or department procedures and recipes
Load and unload oven, know the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of products
Operate mixer and write on cakes, prepare product to meet customer specifications
Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations including full compliance with laws pertaining to safety, health and packaging requirements
Maintain a neat, well groomed personal appearance and observe company dress code including wearing approved hat or hair net
Keep display cases, cooler, and freezer organized and clean, along with cleaning walls, fans, drains, equipment, utensils, and work tables
Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipment
