Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- computer experience necessary
- previous customer service experience preferred
- must be 18 years of age or older
- reliable telephone and transportation
- must pass pre-employment drug test
- must complete criminal background check
- able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- meet necessary requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
- able to verbally direct in English
- must be a U.S. citizen or possess necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service
- able to sit, stand, lift and/or bend throughout shift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Meet and greet arriving passengers in the claim area
- provide assistance and information to individuals meeting arriving passengers
- determine service needs of customers, providing assistance with all baggage issues including lost articles, lost, damages and pilfered luggage
- make baggage arrival announcements, log each flight as bags are delivered and update records
- monitor the delivery of baggage and handle irregularities
- initiate and update BMAS files for lost, damaged and pilfered baggage
- coordinate the return of lost and/or damaged luggage
- prepare bag delivery orders and arrange deliveries
- process and secure unclaimed luggage, update BMAS and create on-hand records in SABRE
- coordinate with ramp services regarding bag deliveries
- assist customers with Skycap requests
- monitor baggage delivery and complete quality checklists
- maintain familiarity with FAA, Airline and company regulations
- keep supervisor informed of area needs and maintenance reporting
- project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- attend meetings and in-services
- maintain records, reports and files
- adhere to uniform policies and company guidelines
- utilize company equipment and resources cost-effectively
- perform other duties as requested
