Job Requirements
- Complete a background investigation successfully
- pass post-offer pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- good customer service skills
- good communication skills
- bilingual preferred
- able to read and understand company and airport procedures
- able to handle pressure in high volume public environment
- able to stand entire shift
- able to pull push and lift up to 70 pounds
- eligible for CBP seal and clear criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- Exhibit good customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- able to read and understand company and airport procedures and instructions
- able to handle pressure of working with high volumes of the general public
- able to stand entire shifts and lift weights up to 70 pounds
- eligible for CBP seal and able to pass criminal background checks to obtain airport ID
Job Duties
- Be in communication with the supervisor on duty at all times
- assist passengers with luggage at the customs area
- support passenger service agents or airline employees in weighing bags and adding tags behind the ticket counter
- place bags onto baggage belts ensuring no bags are left behind at counters
- report irregularities to prevent loss and damage
- handle all baggage with care and safety
- use the time system to record punches and time worked
