Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Ability to treat all information as confidential
- Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in written form
- Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from immigration and naturalization service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- Fluency in a foreign language may be required
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Tactful and diplomatic interaction with clients, employees, and the public
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and welcoming assistance to customers using automated self-service technologies for baggage check-in
- Interpret and apply government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel
- Communicate up-to-date carry-on and checked baggage requirements to passengers
- Query passengers with FAA mandated security questions and verify identification as required by FAA/TSA regulations
- Verify proper placement of bag tags, activate tags using electronic scanning devices, and ensure baggage weight compliance including collecting fees
- Handle physical baggage tasks such as lifting, weighing, and placing bags on conveyor belts
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain automated printer supplies
- Demonstrate welcoming and helpful behaviors consistently throughout all customer interactions
