Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable telephone and transportation
- Must treat all information as confidential
- Must possess tact to deal with clients, employees, and the public
- Must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must have ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Must communicate clearly and concisely in English verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand and/or bend throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a US citizen or possess legal authorization from INS
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent

- Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must possess tact in dealing with clients and public
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Fluency in a specific foreign language may be required
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and welcoming assistance to customers checking baggage through automated self-service technologies
- Interpret government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel
- Serve customers in a caring, efficient, and diplomatic manner
- Stand for extended periods within the Bag Drop check-in area to evaluate customer needs
- Communicate up-to-date carry-on and checked baggage requirements
- Query passengers using FAA mandated security questions
- Verify customer identification as required by FAA/TSA
- Visually verify proper placement of bag tags on self-tagged checked baggage
- Verify carry-on items meet carrier size requirements
- Activate bag tags using automated electronic scanning devices
- Verify weight of checked items and collect baggage fees when applicable
- Handle checked bags by lifting, weighing, and placing on bag belt
- Affix printed bag tags from assigned podium printers
- Change stock in automated printers
- Complete required paperwork
- Demonstrate welcoming and helpful behaviors throughout all tasks
