Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have reliable telephone and transportation
- Maintain confidentiality of all information
- Possess tact to interact with diverse clients and situations
- Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing
- Able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and/or bend during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Pass criminal background check
- Meet requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
- Be a US citizen or possess necessary INS authorization
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Clear and concise communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the role including lifting up to 75 lbs
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Must meet requirements for security-sensitive identification badge
- US citizenship or valid authorization to work in the US
Job Duties
- Provide friendly and welcoming assistance to customers checking baggage through self-service technologies
- Interpret government rules and travel requirements for domestic and international passengers
- Serve customers in a caring, efficient, and diplomatic manner
- Stand for extended periods in the check-in area and assist with baggage inquiries
- Verify customer identification and baggage compliance according to FAA/TSA regulations
- Activate and affix bag tags, and manage automated self-service equipment
- Handle and weigh baggage, collect fees, and complete necessary paperwork
- Communicate carry-on and checked baggage size and weight requirements
- Query passengers with security questions as mandated
- Maintain stock in printers and assist with maintenance of automated devices
- Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills
- Possibly support customers in multiple languages depending on location
- Consistently exhibit professionalism and customer friendliness during all interactions
