Job Duties

  • Load passenger luggage onto conveyor belts with proper spacing to avoid jams
  • assist airline ticket counter staff with baggage handling
  • read IATA tickets to determine flight departure times and connecting carriers
  • screen interline passengers before placing bags on return belts
  • verify accurate baggage tagging
  • handle misplaced or lost baggage claims and provide reports to carriers
  • assist customers with delayed, damaged, or pilfered baggage
  • evaluate customer needs relative to airline locations
  • meet station attendance standards
  • perform other assigned duties
