Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift, handle and carry trays, smallwares and equipment up to 35 pounds
- must have good balance and be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat frequently
- must be able to stand and move continuously for periods of up to four hours or longer
- must communicate effectively and listen attentively
- must use fingers bilaterally to operate point-of-sale equipment and prepare and serve food and beverage items
- must report to work as scheduled and wear the correct uniform
- must follow all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions or incidents
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions and work as part of a team
- knowledge of proper sanitation and safety standards
- ability to operate point-of-sale equipment
- commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- physical ability to perform required duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Report to work as indicated on the work schedule and in the correct uniform
- practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts
- obtain station assignments from hostess or Manager on Duty at the start of the work shift and complete all assigned opening and sidework duties in a timely manner
- set-up and restock service stations before, during, and after service including glassware, ice, and other bar items
- serve water, bread and butter to members in assigned area immediately upon seating and serve refreshments regularly
- remove dishes, silverware, glassware, and all other items when members are finished and replace items as needed for the next course
- return dirty dishware, glassware, utensils and linen to the dishwashing area, sorting items according to protocol
- reset vacated tables following prescribed procedures
- communicate member requests or needs to service staff
- assist fellow employees in refills, table maintenance and bussing
- assist service and steward staff in spot cleaning the dining room
- perform all closing duties and sidework before end of shift
- maintain knowledge of all standards and procedures as provided in training materials
- adhere to all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
