Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Good physical stamina for standing and performing kitchen tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
  • Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes and restaurant specifications accurately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to recipe and restaurant specifications in a timely and efficient manner
  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Assist others in opening and closing the kitchen
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Follow manager's direction to manage all aspects of the station
  • Set up station according to SOP's
  • follow management prep lists to prepare station for service in a timely manner
  • Prep food products for shift by using proper rotation and checking for quality while preventing food waste
  • Perform correct cooking techniques according to Gott’s guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with other line staff, managers, and front of house to ensure proper timing for completing menu items
  • Follow procedures for preventing cross-contamination when preparing allergy-sensitive orders
  • Bring problems or shortages to manager's attention
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • observe sanitation practices and safety procedures
  • Wear gloves as required
  • Unpack and stock kitchen deliveries
  • Assigned cleaning duties
  • Step in to help other line cooks when they fall behind
  • Assist with shift changeover to ensure prompt order fulfillment
  • Attend required training classes
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Manage dish duties
  • Check out with manager daily before leaving shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned
