Job Requirements
- be approachable and able to maintain a friendly attitude even when the pace is high
- be available to work various shifts including weekdays evenings and or weekends as required
- flourish in a vibrant fast paced setting with a moderate to high noise level
- be able to understand and convey instructions and information effectively
- be able to lift and transport items such as beverage cases ice bins and bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds
- move efficiently within the bar area and stand for extended periods of time
- be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their work shift
- frequently reach bend stoop lift and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well stocked bar
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is an advantage
- knowledge of bar equipment and beverage service procedures helpful
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- availability to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- a positive and approachable attitude
- ability to follow instructions and safety regulations
Job Duties
- play a key role in providing excellent beverage service that complements food and entertainment contributing to a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for guests
- keep bartender and supervising manager promptly informed of low stock levels spills or equipment malfunctions taking immediate action or suggesting solutions
- offer efficient assistance by quickly replenishing bar supplies preparing garnishes and ensuring ice reservoirs are full helping to minimize guest wait times
- maintain a positive and helpful demeanor while supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak service periods
- aid with guest inquiries by communicating information to the bartender and ensuring the bar environment is clean and well organized for a positive guest interaction
- support the bartender by swiftly and efficiently retrieving ingredients glassware and other required items
- ensure that used glassware is collected and the bar area remains neat and organized throughout service
- inform the bartender or manager of any guest issues or concerns noticed at the bar
- adhere to all company rules and regulations concerning responsible alcohol service and safety protocols
- be responsible for stocking and organizing all bar related provisions including spirits beer wine mixers glassware and garnishes in designated storage locations
- assist with periodic inventory checks of bar stock as needed
- check and replenish all necessary bar supplies before during and after service report any shortages to the manager
- maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire bar area including countertops shelves refrigerators and storage areas
- provide support to other team members as needed to ensure smooth overall operations
- maintain positive working relationships with all dave and buster's team members to foster a supportive and productive work environment
- meet the minimum legal age requirements for serving or handling alcoholic beverages as per local regulations
