Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must adhere to health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a food server in a high-end or fine dining restaurant preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus including wine pairings
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain professional and polished
  • Proficiency with POS systems
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff

Job Duties

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort and Casino while supporting and promoting company values
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to explain the menu confidently and enthusiastically
  • Follow the steps of service consistently as outlined by the department
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders including seasonal menu recommendations, cooking preferences, and wine pairings
  • Proficiently use the POS system
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly ensuring correct orders and presentation
  • Provide attentive, friendly, and personalized service throughout the dining experience
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area including the dining room and service stations
  • Anticipate guest needs and address any concerns or requests timely
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and accurate orders
  • Process payments accurately while handling cash or credit transactions following company procedures
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area as assigned
