Job Requirements

  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
  • FAA Authorized Technician certification
  • previous experience installing and maintaining FAA AWOS systems
  • strong understanding of FAA regulations governing aviation weather systems
  • proficiency with electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • ability to travel 70-80 percent of the time including overnight stays
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Job Duties

  • Install, configure, and commission FAA-certified AWOS systems at customer sites nationwide
  • perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AWOS equipment
  • conduct system upgrades and modifications in accordance with FAA standards
  • complete all required FAA documentation and certifications for installed systems
  • provide technical support and training to customers on AWOS operation and maintenance
  • maintain detailed service records and documentation for all field activities
  • coordinate with project management and engineering teams on installation schedules and technical requirements
  • ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and Mesotech quality standards
